In 1902, six women at the Miami University in Oxford, Ohio came together and founded Delta Zeta. The idea of lifelong sisterhood began with the work of Alfa Lloyd, Mary Collins, Anna Keen, Julia Bishop, Mabelle Minton, and Anne Simmons with the help of Dr. Guy Potter Benton, then the president of the university.

Delta Zeta is the first sorority founded at Miami University. These six women set the foundation for all Delta Zeta chapters to come after. Today, Delta Zeta has brought an everlasting bond of sisterhood to over 240,000 members from 165 different chapters across the United States and Canada. If you would like to learn more about our history, visit our national page at deltazeta.org

Chapter

The Zeta Kappa chapter was founded at Ohio Northern University on May 16, 1959.

We were the second sorority established at ONU. Before we were Delta Zeta, we were a local chapter called Phi Chi. Delta Zeta is the only true sorority on ONU's campus, meaning we have no ties to a fraternity. Our chapter currently has 49 active sisters.
